The Dometic Residence Air Awning is the perfect solution for the camper who needs a full awning which is not only easy to pitch, but can also be used for longer periods of time as the name suggests. Dometic have used their All-Season fabric to create the ideal extension for your caravan and regardless of the inclement weather the breathable material will make your holiday more comfortable. Due to the Residence having an inflatable Air-Frame system, not only do you benefit from a sturdy structure (with oversized beams), but it is also a dream to pitch. Simply feed the awning onto your caravan rail, attach the electric inflatable pump (which comes included with the awning) onto the single inflation point, switch it on and once it reaches the correct pressure (11PSI), then all that is left to do is merely peg it out. It really is that simple!

Space is one thing that this awning is not short of thanks to the deeper than standard 275cm depth, the extra space combined with the boxy design of the awning allows you to maximise every inch of the space meaning that furniture can be closer to the sides rather than restricting your living area. As the awning range spans several sizes for all manner of caravans it should mean that no one has to miss out on not being able to own one. Providing your ‘A Measurements’ is between 950-1100cm then you are good to go (Size 13 to 18). The awning feels bigger in every aspect including the height; Dometic have utilised their Dual Pitch Roof to increase water flow off the roof and raise the height of the roof to make the awning feel spacious.

Dometic have really thought about every detail of the awning; this is obvious when you look at the optional extras that are available for the awning. For example, the veranda pole which you can purchase doubles up as a front to rear hanging rail, or as an extra support for when you leave the awning unattended for longer spells (an optional FootPlate can be purchased separately). Why not also add a Cushioned Carpet or Mesh Panels to give you a comfier base and a bug free environment to truly enjoy the awning? If for any reason you need more space you can always add an extra annexe which, as standard, comes with an extra bedroom to sleep guests and can be attached to either (or both) sides of the awning.

The awning can be made more manageable thanks to the option of zipping out all the panels, meaning that there is less weight to feed directly through the awning rail and as the Residence comes in two bags you can distribute the weight & size around the caravan to suit your storage problems. The All-Season awning is built to last and has been designed so that it can be left up for longer site stays at any time of year. External blinds can be zipped up to protect the windows and stop passers-by from seeing in. It would also be recommended to remove the draught skirt when the awning is left unattended to increase airflow.
