Delivery Details  

These are the standard delivery details for Attwoolls. Please read these carefully as they contain all the information regarding our delivery policy. If there are any queries regarding this policy then please get in touch with us by using our contact pages.

Currently we only ship to the mainland UK. We may be able to ship to offshore destinations in the UK, but an extra charge may be applicable. Due to a higher charge by our carriers for certain locations, our free delivery or standard delivery charge does NOT apply to Scottish Islands, Scottish Highlands & Grampian Region, Northern Ireland, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Scilly Iles and Channel Islands.

Payment can only be verified if the payment card is registered to a UK address, we reserve the right to only deliver to the registered card address.

Customers should note that whilst we and our carriers will always attempt to deliver according to service schedules, unforeseen circumstances can always intervene and we cannot be held liable for any subsequent service breakdown.

Party Tents - Please note, free delivery does not apply to party tent orders, if you place an order online, 3-5 working day delivery may apply. If you would like a quote for delivery before you place your order please contact us either by email or telephone.

Processing your order

If we receive your order before 12.00 mid-day Monday to Friday, we try our utmost to process it that day. There are two exceptions to this; for orders processed on Friday mornings, delivery will take place the following week (excluding Bank Holidays). All orders placed after mid-day on a weekday will not be processed until the following working day. Orders processed on a weekend day will be processed the next working day.

If you order an item that is temporarily out of stock, clearly it will not be processed within 24 hours. In these instances we will inform you as soon as possible that the item is not in stock and advise the date we expect it to be back in stock or, we will suggest a suitable alternative item that is in stock. If the item will not be back in stock at a time that suits you, you are always at liberty to cancel your order for a full refund. Deliveries

DPD

We use DPD to deliver the majority of our parcels. As part of the service we can give you tracking information, and if you wish you can provide us with a mobile phone number and DPD will send you a text on the morning of delivery giving you an estimated time of arrival. There is no extra charge for this service. We cannot send all of our parcels by DPD - if the parcel is over 1 metres long or over 30kg it has to be sent by Tuffnells who do not offer tracking. We will notify you who will be delivering your parcel.

You can track your DPD parcel using the consignment number that will be included within the shipment email that is sent to you at www.dpd.co.uk

Please note - If you have ordered a tent or awning please DO NOT change your delivery option to a pick-up shop as they will not accept freight items and they will return to sender. You may be charged additional postage for re-delivery. Also please note that if you request your parcel to be 'left in a safe place/location' or we cannot be liable for any parcels that are delivered to the 'wrong' location. Please contact DPD directly to resolve any problems.

We cannot be held liable for any consequential loss caused by late delivery or failure to deliver by the company’s appointed carrier.

DHL

We also use DHL for larger or over length items. DHL will also send you a text or email with a timed delivery window and you can track your parcel at track.dhlparcel.co.uk using the consignment number given to you in our shipment email.

Please note that if you request your parcel to be 'left in a safe place/location' or 'leave with a neighbour' we cannot be liable for any parcels that are delivered to the 'wrong' location. Please contact DHL directly to resolve any problems.

TUFFNELLS

For items over 30kg we use our freight courier Tuffnells. Unfortunately, they do not offer a tracked delivery service - if you have requested a 'next working day' delivery we will despatch your parcel on the next relevant day (please see above for an explanation of our next day terms). If you have selected a 3 - 5 day standard delivery we will always contact you via email to arrange a delivery date that is suitable for you to ensure that there is someone home to sign for the parcel. We will hold your order until we have had a reply from you - please check your junk emails for any correspondence from us or call us on 01452 742233

ROYAL MAIL

For smaller orders and items we use the standard 2nd class Royal Mail service and you can expect delivery within 3 - 5 working days. If you have not received your order in this time, please contact us as during busy periods this may take a little longer.

Delivery Procedures

For UK deliveries, we will tell you what day your delivery is going to arrive and YOU WILL NEED TO ENSURE THAT SOMEONE WILL BE AT THE DELIVERY ADDRESS YOU PROVIDE TO SIGN FOR THE PARCEL between the hours of 7.00am - 6.00pm, Monday to Friday. We may, at our discretion, deliver to an alternative address. Please note that we only permit this at our discretion and we retain the right to refuse requests to deliver to an alternative address.

Our courier will not normally leave a parcel at an address unless it can be signed for. We can ask them to leave the parcel with a neighbour if you need us to – please add to the comments on your order if this is the case. If there is nobody at the address when the courier arrives they will leave a calling card asking you to call the local depot to arrange an alternative delivery time and date. All the contact information will be on the card left by the courier. If you have ordered a tent or awning please DO NOT change your delivery option to a pick-up shop as they will not accept freight items and they will return to sender. You may be charged additional postage for re-delivery.

Please allow up to 10 working days for delivery, if you believe a delivery is seriously overdue, please contact us.

** Special delivery instructions - At Attwoolls we endeavour to deliver all parcels as per the customers instructions, however, if those instructions leave the safety of the parcel in an unsecure environment, Attwoolls will accept NO liability for the loss or replacement of the parcel. **

If there are delays with your parcel we will endeavour to contact you as soon as possible to let you know, however our couriers do not always inform us of delays straight away.

Most of couriers will attempt to make a delivery at least twice top your chosen delivery address. If for any reason they cannot deliver the parcel and it is returned to us, please be aware that there may be a charge for redelivery.

Click & Collect

We now offer a click and collect service online, this can be chosen as a shipping method at the checkout. Once your order has been placed it will be ready to collect within 48 hours and an email will be sent to you detailing when it is ready for collection. After this email has been sent you have 7 days to collect your order.

If your order is not collected within 7 days we will contact you via phone or email to discuss options, this may be to hold it for a few more days, change it to a delivery service (delivery charges found above apply), or to cancel the order.

Please remember to bring in your order confirmation (as an email on your phone will suffice) alongside a valid and current ID, the order may not be released to you if you are not the person that placed the order.

Bank Holidays

Our carrier does not collect from us on Bank Holidays or weekends, nor do they operate deliveries to customers on Bank Holidays or weekends. Next day refers to "next WORKING day".
