The Vango Harris is one of the best vented polyester tents on the market. Not only does every panel of the tent have ventilation, it also won’t cost the earth. We see the Harris as a perfect weekend tent and as it is available in a true 3 person model (350) or a 5 person (500) you can pick and choose what is the best size for you. As the tent uses light-weight fibreglass poles, it helps to reduce the pack size and weight in comparison to an air equivalent, meaning that it isn’t’ going to completely fill the boot of your car.

The versatile style of the tent allows you to bring the outside in by opening up the front door. This can be achieved be it rain or shine as the front canopy gives you enough coverage so that showers don’t come into the main body of the tent. Not only are the poles pre-angled to increase internal height, but they are also colour co-ordinated to make pitching the tent easier. The tent is separated into three main areas; a sleeping area which can accommodate up to five people (or three depending on model) and there is a divider to allow privacy provided with the 500 version, , a main living area spacious enough so that on a rainy day you have enough room to feel comfortable and a front awning offering a great area to cook or leave your muddy shoes and boots before entering the lovely, clean-living area. The side door has the option to be used as a canopy by buying some king poles.

The tent has key features such as dark ‘Nightfall bedrooms’, which enable you to have a longer and better night's sleep as you won’t be waking up when the sun does. Inside the bedroom there are also storage pockets to give you an easily accessible point for storing items like phones or torches so you can find them in the middle of the night. Other important features include cable entry points, privacy curtains and mesh windows internally and low-level panels externally. One of our favourite features is the drop-down doors, unlike previous years Vango have added extra toggle points to the lip to decrease the chance of the wind blowing through.

The Vango Harris is a great tent and, with all of the increased ventilation, you’ll be thankful when the sun comes out that you chose this model. Combined with the flexibility of the front door, you can truly make this the tent to suit your needs whatever the weather.
