For a whole century, we’ve been helping people explore the outdoors, create memories, and enjoy endless summers under canvas.

As part of our 100th anniversary celebrations, we’re on a mission to track down original Attwoolls tents from our historic collection to showcase at our birthday event.

We need your help!

Over the decades, countless campers have walked through our superstore doors and pitched Attwoolls own-brand tents in gardens, campsites, and holiday spots across the UK and beyond. We know some of these original treasures may still be tucked away in sheds, garages, and lofts.

So, with your help, we’d love to get the whole family back together. If you own an original Attwoolls tent, or know someone who does, we’d love to hear from you. With your help, we can bring our centenary display to life and celebrate 100 years of Attwoolls adventures in the best possible way.

We're on the hunt for the following tents:

  • Attwoolls Berkeley DLX – Green
  • Attwoolls Bibury
  • Attwoolls Fairford DLX
  • Attwoolls Frampton

  • Attwoolls Uley 220
  • Attwoolls Slimbridge - Green

If you have one of these classic Attwoolls tents, or know someone who does, getting in touch is easy. You can send us a message on social media or email us directly to let us know which tent you have and a little about its story. Photos are very welcome too.

Every tent has its own history, and we’d love to feature yours as part of our 100th anniversary celebration in 2027.

A little about our history

If you don’t know our story, it’s one we’re incredibly proud of. In simple terms, it began in the early 1920s, when John Attwooll ran an animal medicine business in rural Gloucestershire, and over time expanded into marquees and canvas goods.

In 1936, the business moved to our present site in Whitminster. Years later, we opened our camping department, displaying tents in a simple wooden shed and out on the lawn. From those modest beginnings, the business gradually grew into the dedicated outdoor superstore it is today.

Over the decades, family has remained at the heart of Attwoolls. Each generation has helped the business evolve with the times while staying true to the values that matter most to us: quality products, honest advice, and good service. Now, as we approach our centenary year, the fourth generation of the Attwoolls family is proud to be leading the business forward, while still working closely with the third generation.

A final note from us

Together, let’s make our 100th anniversary celebration truly unforgettable. Whether it’s the classic Attwoolls Bibury or the larger Attwoolls Cheltenham, every tent has a part to play in celebrating a century of outdoor adventures.

If you have one of these tents, or know someone who might, we’d love to hear from you. Send us an email with any details and photos to [email protected] and help us celebrate 100 years of Attwoolls in 2027.
