Cleadale offers raw and inspiring camping. You’ll be surrounded by nature with eagles, buzzards and some of the best views towards the Isle of Rum. This was even the location for JRR Tolkien to write some of The Lord of the Rings. Truly inspiring surroundings!

If you’re biking along the South Downs Way then this will make the perfect stop off. It’s wild camping but with basic facilities. You can even light a campfire and keep an eye out for owls, numbers are kept low in respect of the natural habitat. Compost toilets, solar showers and recycling are part of the experience.

Hillhead Caravan Club site, Devon
Set up for families, with a lovely sea view that will please everybody. In addition there is an outdoor pool that has scheduled adult only swim times. There’s also a clubhouse that has a stage for evening entertainment. Popular with steam train lovers, it’s also possible to hire a boat to make your way up the river.
