Vango’s most iconic driveaway awning, the Kela, has undergone a massive update for the new season. Vango have been very careful to keep the main DNA of the Kela the same, but the latest Pro model has additional features such as a brow canopy over the side door, a fresh new colour, and is now made from recycled plastic bottles making it more Eco Friendly. The Kela is available in three different attachment heights, so regardless of what vehicle you have, the Kela Pro is always an option. Without doubt the most popular size is the ‘Low’ (180-210cm) which will fit a VW Transport type vehicle, for a larger panel van or a low-line motorhome then the Mid (215-255cm) is the best size and, finally, if you have a larger motorhome then we recommended choosing the Tall (255-295cm). It is best to measure your vehicle to double check the attachment height, as this will vary from vehicle to vehicle.

The Kela Pro Awning is rich with features, whether it be two mesh doors to provide a bug free barrier into the awning while allowing airflow, or Vango’s ‘SkyTrack’ system which allows you to have a hanging point anywhere in the awning. An extra Skylight is situated in the main body to allow in more natural light and the other crystal-clear windows are still in place to allow perfect visibility on the campsite, the zip-up curtains give you excellent privacy when needed. Two side doors on each side of the connecting tunnel provide a handy area for storage and will help keep the awning and your vehicle clean and dry. As the awning has an inflatable Airbeam structure, the whole thing can be pitched within 10 minutes, as seen from our own Attwoolls Pitching & Packing Video. The Kela Pro has been designed to stand up to the elements and if additional strength is needed, then Vango’s Tension Band System (TBS®II) ensures your awning will remain stable in harsh weather and for normal conditions, simply tuck it away into the designated pockets.

With all of the latest updates, we feel that the Vango Kela Pro really has stepped up to the next level and there really isn’t another awning in this design that competes with it.

• TBS®II Tension Band System - Ensures awning performs in adverse conditions, especially in strong, changeable winds. When tensioned, the bands brace the beam or pole at 3 points and prevent sideways movement. Adjust TBS®II to remove slack. Do not over tension, as this may deform the poles. Can be stowed away in calm weather

• Touring Awning – This awning is designed for touring use; it is not designed for static or long-term seasonal pitching as extensive exposure to UV light will cause accelerated fabric degradation. UV degradation is not covered under the warranty. However, under normal holiday use your awning will give long service
• Inflatable AirBeam® Structure - With 10 years’ experience in AirBeam® technology, we are the leaders in pole free pitching. AirBeam® technology ensures your awning is erect within a matter of minutes (supplied with AirBeam® pump)
