The very best of both International and British acts are featured and playing live to crowds of their fans and festival goers.

Unfortunately paying out for all the gear, food, drink, transportation and tickets can cost a great deal. Once the tickets have been purchased, then it’s all about whether the sun will come out or whether the event will turn into a mud bath.

However, there is some good news. There are many free festivals that take place all over the UK each year so that you can save on the cost of tickets. Of course, we cannot guarantee that you won’t see any rain, but if it does, you won’t feel like you have to attend due to the vast expense of the tickets.

Here are our top free festival picks:

Peterborough‘s Willow Festival

2015 marks Willow Festival’s tenth birthday and they’ve got a celebratory line up. The festival will be held in July and will last 3 days with the likes of over 175 bands and artists who will take to the stage. You can also enjoy extreme fairground rides, art and crafts, kid’s entertainment and a food village.

London‘s West End Live

Billed for June in London’s Trafalgar Square, this free event enables locals and visitors alike to experience some of the best shows from London’s West End. You’ll have a chance to view some of the best shows for Free. There are some campsites located close to the capital.

Liverpool‘s International Music Festival

Having run for the last 20 years, this event draws in some big names with Basement Jaxx and Echo and the Bunnymen lined up for 2015. Also expect to see the regular and spectacular event that showcases music from the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. Be sure to check out the Beatles tribute acts too.
