As a very exceptional circumstance, our Whitminster store will be closed on Friday 28th February, from 1.30pm onwards, for an important family funeral. On this day, we will not be despatching any mail orders, so if you order Thursday evening, the earliest your order will be despatched is on Monday 3rd March, for delivery next day. Please accept our apologies, and we will be back to normal from Saturday 1st March 2014.
These are the standard delivery details for Attwoolls. Please read these carefully as they contain all the information regarding our delivery policy. If there are any queries regarding this policy then please get in touch with us by using our contact pages.
Delivery will be FREE FOR ORDERS OVER £100. We offer Free next day delivery, so long as orders are received by mid-day, and are being delivered to mainland UK destinations. If you live in the Scottish Highlands we cannot deliver next day (2 day service only), but delivery will still be free over £100. Items must be in stock and available.
Processing your order
If we receive your order before 1.00 p.m. Monday to Friday, we try our utmost to process it that day and courier it to you that evening for delivery the following day. There are two exceptions to this; for orders processed on Friday mornings, delivery will take place the following Monday (excluding Bank Holidays). All orders placed after mid-day on a weekday will not be processed until the following working day. Orders processed on a weekend day will be processed and dispatched on the next working day. Our couriers collect from us at 3.00 p.m. every week day afternoon and deliver between 9.00 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. the following working day.
If you order an item that is temporarily out of stock, clearly it will not be processed within 24 hours. In these instances we will inform you as soon as possible that the item is not in stock and advise the date we expect it to be back in stock or, we will suggest a suitable alternative item that is in stock. If the item will not be back in stock at a time that suits you, you are always at liberty to cancel your order for a full refund. We do not process any payments until we despatch the goods. We are now using DPD to deliver the majority of our parcels. As part of the service we can give you tracking information, and if you wish you can provide us with a mobile phone number and DPD will send you a text on the morning of delivery giving you an estimated time of arrival. There is no extra charge for this service.
We cannot send all of our parcels by DPD - if the parcel is over 1.2 metres long or over 30kg it has to be sent by Nightfreight, who do not offer tracking.
Shipping & Handling Charges
We are able to offer a FREE next day delivery service to all customers in the mainland UK on all orders over £100, assuming the goods are in stock. For orders under £100, a charge of £5 per order applies. Currently we ONLY SHIP TO THE MAINLAND UK. We may be able to ship to offshore destinations in the UK, but an extra charge may be applicable. If you place an order, we will contact you by email to let you know what this charge is, and you can decide whether or not to go ahead. You can find all our contact details on our contact pages.
Customers should note that whilst we and our carriers will always attempt to deliver according to service schedules, unforeseen circumstances can always intervene and we cannot be held liable for any subsequent service breakdown.
For UK deliveries, we will tell you what day your delivery is going to arrive, and YOU WILL NEED TO ENSURE THAT SOMEONE WILL BE AT THE DELIVERY ADDRESS YOU PROVIDE TO SIGN FOR THE PARCEL between the hours of 8.00am - 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. We may, at our discretion, deliver to an alternative address. Please note that we only permit this at our discretion and we retain the right to refuse requests to deliver to an alternative address.
Our courier will not normally leave a parcel at an address unless it can be signed for. We can ask them to leave the parcel with a neighbour if you need us to – please add to the comments on your order if this is the case. If there is nobody at the address when the courier arrives they will leave a calling card asking you to call the local depot to arrange an alternative delivery time and date. All the contact information will be on the card left by the courier.
Please allow up to 10 Working days for delivery, although in most cases you will receive delivery within 48 hours of receipt of your order. If you believe a delivery is seriously overdue, please contact us.
Our carrier does not collect from us on Bank Holidaysor weekends, nor do they operate deliveries to customers on Bank Holidays or weekends. Next day refers to "next WORKING day".
