New in 2011, we introduced the Vango AirBeam range.  Innovative and exciting, this range of inflatable tents proved to be one of the most talked about collections on campsites and camping forums.  In 2013, both Kampa and Outwell have introduced inflatable tents to their range with their revolutionary Air Frame technology with an impressive range of inflatable tents.  All the AirPoles are interconnected with one inflation point - however it also features the Kampa isolating valve, in case of damage to part of the Airframe.

Outwell similarly introduced their Smart Air range for 2013 - with their One-go Inflation technology means you can plug a pump into a single inlet valve and inflate the tent in a minute.  The frame is linked via an apex tube which acts likie a ridge pole for extra stability.  There are isolation valves to prevent the frame from deflating fully in case of damage.

Inflatable, blow up or air tents aren’t new to the market – they were around decades ago.  Indeed, Attwoolls was selling a blow up ‘Igloo’ tent almost 50 years ago!  However during the past few years technology and new innovations have made them become increasingly popular.  Inflatable tents are more reliable and affordable now, and are simply so easy to pitch.  The air tent is given its structure and rigidity from air filled tubes or beams in places of traditional poles.  The tubes are filled via a valve using a pump and most inflatable tents can be erected in a matter of minutes.

Our current range of inflatable tents includes Vango Airbeam, Kampa AirFrame and Outwell Smartair.  What has really taken off in popularity last year and especially this year, is the range of inflatable drive away awnings, inflatable porch awnings and inflatable caravan awnings.  These have made the motorhome or caravanner’s life much easier – inflating in seconds rather than assembling a frame and putting the awning over it.

As far as inflatable camping tents go, all sorts of sizes and styles are available this year, from the fairly modest 4 man Solaris to the massive Illusion 800, 8 man tent.  There is an inflatable tent to suit everyone.
